Position Description

We are looking for a Scrum Master to join the High Net Worth Lending squad. The ideal candidate embodies the firms core values, is team oriented, collaborates, and leads with excellence and innovation. The candidate brings knowledge of Agile principles and ceremonies, experiences in collaboration across complex organizations, removing impediments, and ensuring team progress towards their missions and deliverables.

Job Functions/Duties And Responsibilities

Serve as Scrum Master leading Agile teams.

Oversee project development and ensure effective completion and delivery.

Work closely with Product Owners, other Scrum Masters and Client to progress along squad agenda.

Promote Agile culture, values, behaviors, and principles across business, development, and testing organizations.

Create a collaborative team environment; partner with Agile Coach to provide constructive feedback for continuous agile improvements.

Plan and conduct Agile meetings/ceremonies Sprint planning, backlog grooming, daily stand up, test plan and test cases reviews, sprint demos, retrospectives, etc.

Review and manage backlog and in-progress items to ensure the latest work status is captured and updated as appropriate.

Maintain team metrics and report project statuses (e.g., velocity/burn down charts, financial status, issues/risks, etc.) on a regular basis to Product Owner, and to senior stakeholders.

Takes ownership to drive through resolutions of issues or blockers, coordinate directly with other development/product teams on inter-dependencies or through Scrum-of-Scrums ceremony.

Coordinate with team on deployment preparations and execution.

Skills Required (First 3 lines to cover TOP 3 Must have skills):

 

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in a large complex banking organization or major consulting firm acting in a Scrum Master and project management capacity.
  • Skilled in Agile Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
  • Ability to understand system flows, interface details and system infrastructure.
  • Excellent relationship management, communication, teamwork, and influence skills; ability to operate at senior levels in both written and verbal communications.
  • Ability to develop full-scale project plans and associated communication documents, including identifying and managing project dependencies and critical path.
  • Ability to Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to improve Agile performance.
  • Ability to review and manage backlog items to ensure the latest work status is captured and updated as appropriate.
  • Experience in creating a collaborative team environment and provide constructive feedback to drive Agile maturity.
  • Ability to proactively manage change in project scope, identify potential issues, and devise contingency.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, and ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong familiarity with Agile project management software/tools.
  • Proficient with JIRA MS Office applications: Excel, MS Project, Visio, Word, and PowerPoint.

     

Skills Desired (No repeating skills required in the desired section):

 

  • PMI Agile Certified Practitioner (ACP) certification.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification.

     

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or Information Technology preferred
