Position:  AI/ML Engineer for Sales and Labor Forecasting 

Location: Remote, US 

Job Summary 

We are seeking an experienced AI/ML Engineer to join our team and drive the development of cutting-edge AI and machine learning solutions to optimize our sales and labor forecasting process for a restaurant chain. The ideal candidate will have AI/ML and data engineering skills. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to leverage data, improve forecasting models, and drive efficiency in the operations. 

Responsibilities: 

As an AI/ML engineer for Sales and Labor Forecasting, you will gather, clean, and preprocess data from various sources, including POS systems, historical sales records, and labor reports, to create high-quality datasets for AI/ML models. 

Design, develop, and implement machine learning models to forecast restaurant sales, labor requirements, and staffing levels. Explore state-of-the-art AI techniques to improve forecasting accuracy. 

Train, fine-tune, and evaluate models, ensuring their reliability and accuracy. Continuously monitor and improve model performance. 

Work closely with Sales, Operations, and HR teams to align AI/ML models with business goals and ensure the successful integration of the models into daily operations. 

Implement AI/ML-driven optimization strategies to minimize labor costs while maximizing service quality and customer satisfaction. 

You will work with leading edge technologies like Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Machine Learning, AutoML and others. 

Requirements 

Bachelor's or master’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. 

Hands-on experience with cloud platform Azure 

Experience with SQL and Python 

Proficiency in machine learning frameworks and libraries  

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment and interact with stakeholders from various disciplines. 

 

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, Math, Physics, or other Science. 

Self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and stay up to date with new technologies in the field. 

Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
