AIX Engineer

<ul type="disc" style="margin-top:0in"><p style="" class="">Provide engineering, design and support for IBM Power / AIX servers, LPARS and workloads.&nbsp;</p> <li style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3;tab-stops:list .5in" class="MsoNoSpacing">AIX OS upgrade and patching, LPAR provisioning, system recovery, VIOS configuration, Network and storage virtualization, performance analysis and capacity planning.&nbsp; &nbsp;</li> <li style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3;tab-stops:list .5in" class="MsoNoSpacing">Work with team members to support storage subsystems.</li> <li style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3;tab-stops:list .5in" class="MsoNoSpacing">Provide engineering, design and support, security remediation for enterprise Redhat Linux servers and workloads.</li> <li style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3;tab-stops:list .5in" class="MsoNoSpacing">Support&nbsp;infrastructure&nbsp;with automation, such as Ansible playbooks, and Ansible scripting or Ansible automation platforms.</li> <li style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3;tab-stops:list .5in" class="MsoNoSpacing">Communicate and collaborate with a diverse team and technologies, understanding of technical and business requirements.</li> <li style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3;tab-stops:list .5in" class="MsoNoSpacing">Troubleshoot complex performance, availability and other types of errors and outages during incidents and come to quick resolution to restore services.</li> <li style="mso-list:l1 level1 lfo3;tab-stops:list .5in" class="MsoNoSpacing">Document technical and architectural requirements, processes, and procedures.</li> </ul> <p class="MsoNoSpacing">&nbsp;</p> <p class="MsoNoSpacing"><b>Required Skills and Experience</b></p> <ul type="disc" style="margin-top:0in"> <li style="mso-list:l2 level1 lfo4;tab-stops:list .5in" class="MsoNormal"><a name="_Hlk143156071">Five to seven years of experience as an AIX administrator or engineer</a></li> <li style="mso-list:l2 level1 lfo4;tab-stops:list .5in" class="MsoNormal">A minimum of five years of experience in IBM POWER Systems [IBM I (iSeries, AS/400), IBM AIX]</li> <li style="mso-list:l2 level1 lfo4;tab-stops:list .5in" class="MsoNormal">Hardware Management Console (HMC) configuration and support</li> <li style="mso-list:l2 level1 lfo4;tab-stops:list .5in" class="MsoNormal">IBM Power Systems hardware configuration</li> <li style="mso-list:l2 level1 lfo4;tab-stops:list .5in" class="MsoNormal">IBM Server firmware</li> </ul> <ul type="disc" style="margin-top:0in"> <li style="mso-list:l3 level1 lfo5" class="MsoNoSpacing">Experience supporting RedHat Linux Servers</li> <li style="mso-list:l3 level1 lfo5" class="MsoNoSpacing">Experience with automation scripting with a preference for Ansible</li></ul><p class="sceditor-nlf"><br></p>
