Must Haves

4-6 years of AIX Systems Administration and Engineering background (on-prem). 
2-3 years of Linux/AWS Cloud technologies
Strong Troubleshooting skills
Kubernetes Clustering experience would be a plus
Strong Customer Service / good personality
Strong communication skills
Ability to work with anyone at the Bank at any level

Plan, implement, maintain, administer, troubleshoot, and manage the AIX/Unix and Linux servers, infrastructure, including security related configuration and perform other related functions as designated by the Manager, Unix & Linux Administration.

Education:

Bachelor's degree preferred. Computer Science degree a plus. Military or work experience may be considered in lieu of degree.

Experience:

4-6 years of experience with administration and support of AIX and/or Linux operating systems in a distributed client/server environment. A certification in Unix or Linux is considered a plus.

Familiarity with project management software, such as Microsoft Project. 
Strong understanding of the design and development of distributed Unix & Linux applications. 
Experience with AWS Cloud Services and Cloud Infrastructure and Cloud Disaster Recovery Operations. 
Experience with AWS Image provisioning and automation. 
Familiar with Production Control and Installations
Familiar with Ubuntu
Familiar with Security Operations Tools and Utilities such as Big Fix
Familiar with various network architectures and protocols. 
Familiar with SAN and enterprise storage solutions. 
Familiar with security concepts (CIS - Center for internet security)
Must be able to manage multiple projects with minimal supervision.

Essential Duties:

Configure, implement, maintain, patch, distribute and document server and environment hardware and software. 
Monitor, manage, and document Unix & Linux system performance. 
Report significant capacity issues in a timely manner to the Manager, Unix & Linux Administration. 
Maintain and document disaster recovery procedures related to Unix & Linux operating systems. 
Perform Unix & Linux shell scripting and administrative functions under the supervision of the Manager of Unix & Linux Administration. 
Work with the Security team to ensure hardening of systems, patches are properly being applied, and assistance is provided as necessary. 
Work with vendors and our users in the planning, implementation, change control, testing, documentation, performance monitoring, capacity planning, problem resolution and disaster recovery for all assigned systems. 
Work with Database administrators as necessary to support the Bank's database environment. 
Work within the Bank's storage area network environment to support systems within that infrastructure. 
Provide 1st level support for Kubernetes / Dockers. 
Perform all other duties as assigned
