Position Overview

We are seeking a talented Akamai CDN Engineer who combines expertise in content delivery networks (CDNs) with DevOps practices. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of web development, particularly on AWS and Kubernetes platforms. As part of our team, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient and secure delivery of digital content to our global audience.

Responsibilities

•          Akamai CDN Management:

o          Configure, optimize, and maintain Akamai CDN solutions to enhance content delivery performance.

o          Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of Akamai services into our applications.

•          DevOps Practices:

o          Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for deploying applications and content.

o          Automate infrastructure provisioning, scaling, and monitoring using tools like Jenkins, Docker, and Kubernetes.

o          Collaborate with software engineers to streamline deployment processes and improve system reliability.

•          Web Development:

o          Develop and maintain web applications, APIs, and microservices.

o          Leverage AWS services (such as EC2, S3, Lambda, and API Gateway) to build scalable and resilient solutions.

o          Utilize Kubernetes for container orchestration and management.

•          Performance Optimization:

o          Monitor CDN performance metrics and troubleshoot any issues.

o          Optimize cache settings, routing rules, and security configurations within Akamai.

•          Security and Compliance:

o          Implement security best practices for CDN configurations.

o          Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

•          Collaboration and Documentation:

o          Work closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, network engineers, and security experts.

o          Document system architecture, configurations, and deployment processes.

•          Release planning and Compliance

o          Awareness on Software development and release policies

o          Aware on Audit controls and sox compliance relevant to Software development

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in CDN management, DevOps, and web development.
  • Strong proficiency in Akamai CDN configuration and administration.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, Lambda, etc.) and Kubernetes.
  • Familiarity with DevOps tools and technologies, such as Jenkins, Docker, and Ansible.
  • Solid understanding of software testing and quality assurance principles.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
