Anaplan Consultant

Job Description:

1. Develop and maintain Anaplan models to support financial planning and analysis processes.
2. Collaborate with finance and business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into Anaplan solutions.
3. Design and build complex calculations, workflows, and data imports/exports within Anaplan.
4. Perform testing and validation of Anaplan models to ensure accuracy and reliability.
5. Provide technical guidance and support to junior Anaplan developers.
6. Monitor and troubleshoot issues with Anaplan models and provide timely resolutions.
7. Stay updated with Anaplan platform updates and new features and incorporate them into existing models.
8. Conduct user training and documentation to promote user adoption and self-service within the organization.
9. Continuously improve Anaplan models and processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
10. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Anaplan with other finance systems and tools.
Key Skill Sets:
1. Strong knowledge and experience in Anaplan development, including building models, creating dashboards, and implementing security.
2. In-depth understanding of finance and accounting principles and processes.
3. Proficiency in working with large and complex data sets within Anaplan.
4. Ability to gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into Anaplan solutions.
5. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
6. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
7. Proficiency in programming languages like Anaplan Calculation Language (ACL), SQL, and Excel VBA.
8. Experience in integrating Anaplan with other systems and tools.
9. Knowledge of best practices and industry standards in Anaplan development and finance domain.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Anaplan development.
3. Strong understanding of finance and accounting principles.
4. Certified Anaplan Model Builder.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
2. Experience in leading Anaplan implementation projects.
3. Anaplan Certified Solution Architect or Anaplan Certified Master Anaplanner.
4. Knowledge of additional financial planning and analysis tools like Hyperion, Cognos, or Tableau.
