Job Description:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Android AOSP Embedded Engineer to join our team. As an Android AOSP Embedded Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining Android-based embedded systems. You will work closely with our hardware and software teams to deliver high-quality, innovative products.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Android system software and frameworks.
Customize and optimize the Android Open Source Project (AOSP) for specific hardware platforms.
Integrate and debug Android system components and drivers.
Collaborate with hardware engineers to bring up new hardware platforms.
Perform code reviews, testing, and debugging of embedded software.
Work on performance tuning and optimization of the Android system.
Implement and maintain security features in the Android platform.
Stay updated with the latest Android developments and technologies.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience in Android system development and AOSP.
Strong knowledge of C/C++, Java, and Android framework internals.
Experience with embedded systems and real-time operating systems (RTOS).
Familiarity with hardware interfaces and communication protocols (e.g., I2C, SPI, UART).
Experience with kernel development and device drivers.
Proficient in using version control systems such as Git.
Excellent problem-solving and debugging skills.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Android security and encryption.
Knowledge of build systems (e.g., Make, CMake, Bazel).
Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
Experience with hardware debugging tools (e.g., JTAG, oscilloscopes).
Contributions to open source projects, especially Android-related ones.
Experience in agile development methodologies.
