What are we looking for?

We're looking for an Android Software Development Engineer, this role will support the Dev Teams working as part of a multidisciplinary Engineering Team, delivering best-of-class software for our customers to use on their mobile devices; changing the way they interact with their finances. With excellent programming skills in a couple of languages and extensive commercial experience developing software for the Android platform (Kotlin/Java) - in an Agile environment - you’ll be collaborating with product owners and designers on feature development, as well as mentoring other engineers and advising managers

100% remote position for candidates based in Spain

Main Functions

 

• You’ll work as part of a self-organised Mobile Engineering Team to design and develop software features that are delightful and vital to the lives of credit card consumers across all walks of life
• Your focus is on a major portion of existing or new team software (e.g., significant component, set of features, mid-size application or service)
• You’ll work to achieve the goals and vision shared by Product Management and your Tribe Leadership
• Innovate within your team, initiative area and contribute within your technical domain
  
   

Main Skills Required

 

• Very strong programming skills with a good working knowledge of Kotlin or Java and modern Android toolsets like Android Studio, JUnit and Espresso
• Experience with AWS Services
• People who can effectively communicate and work together across different engineering areas
• People with proven ability to deliver high quality applications at scale
• You’re an advocate for quality and can support the team leveraging approaches such as Pair Programming, TDD and BDD What you’ll get to learn (previous experience is a plus)
• Working with the cloud/AWS and the opportunities that it brings in depth
• Solving real world problems and being comfortable working in a complex regulated environment
• Fluent in English
