Job Description

Senior DWH Engineer

Your area of responsibility

As a Professional Data Engineer, you will develop innovative data warehouse solutions based on modern Microsoft technologies and design scalable data models for our data warehouse and our data marts in the area of group insurance

You will be actively involved in the entire development chain of our data warehouse, from SSIS to T-SQL and SSAS to Power BI

Through close cooperation with various specialist departments, you will support data analysis and thus contribute to the optimisation of data-driven decisions

You will accompany us on our exciting journey from on-premises solutions to the Azure Cloud and actively shape the transition

Your strengths

You have a degree in business informatics or a comparable qualification

You have at least 5 years of experience in the DWH/BI environment, ideally in large companies, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry

TSQL is your second mother tongue You have in-depth knowledge of Microsoft BI and ETL tools

You have several years of experience in data modelling (e.g. Kimball, Data Vault an advantage)

Knowledge of the Microsoft Azure platform is available or you are willing to acquire and further develop it

You enjoy analysing complex interrelationships and developing innovative, practical and sustainable solutions

You are characterised by a high level of initiative, the ability to communicate with target groups and the ability to work in a team; you also have experience with agile working methods

You are fluent in German and have a good command of English
