API Application Developer

Job Description

hiring an API Application Developer to join one of our bank clients. This individual will be working with a project team to develop APIs to facilitate the flow of information between Synovus and outside parties. They will also work to create standards for outside parties and to program to outside parties’ standards as well.

Responsibilities:

End to End API delivery which includes Planning, Design, Development, Testing, and Delivery of API(s) including the development of standards.
Implement API monitoring and system support for production application services client facing environments
Automation of API testing
Strong knowledge of API Service architectures (SOAP, REST)
Implements API management solutions to include API proxies, security and analytics
Implement requirements of the API layer like security, custom analytics, throttling, caching, logging, request and response
Required Skills:

Experience with payments specifically ACH, Wire, Check, Card a MUST
.NET experience
Familiar with Boomi API development
Experience with BAI, X9/ XML formats for reporting payment status intraday.?
Has knowledge of multiple API Gateways (Boomi and Azure Gateway) and understands the Data Security and encryption of those tools.
Strong communication skills
Able to bridge the gap between business and technology and provide some solutioning assistance
Preferred Skills:

ISO 20022 format for reporting payment status intraday.?
Payment processing life cycle in a bank (ACH, Wire, Check, Card, RTP)
Prior exposure to ERP integration (customers to bank)
Prior experience in working with TM initiatives
