API Tester

Knowledge and Experience in:

Domain : Telematics / Automotive
Experience in dev-ops / testing teams (preferable on a project that interfaces with hardware)
Quick learner - You love to learn and are able to quickly pick up tools and put them to use
Detail focused - while understanding the importance of getting a product shipped
Experience and Hands-On Knowledge on tools / languages related to our stack (Kobiton / Perfecto, Appium, Istio, Go/gRPC, Mongo, Kubernetes, gitlab, xlr, aws, java, python etc)
An understanding of API design and architecture, distributed back-end systems and microservices, or containerization / virtualization
API Tools include GRPCUI, GRPCURL, MQTT, Postman, RestAssured, ReadyAPI, TestEngine

Write complex code/scripts to test systems
Take responsibility for monitoring product development and usage at all levels with an eye toward improving product quality
Create test harnesses and infrastructure as necessary.
Utilize innovative testing technologies to develop product's testing strategy.
Participate in design and code inspections.
Perform manual testing when required, ideally with an eye towards automation
Analyze test logs; create test reports, and co-ordinate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders
Collaborate and provide input in the creation of automation standards, polices, and process
