Application Architect

Role Description

This is a contract remote role for an Application Architect (Apptio). The Application Architect will be responsible for application architecture, software development, solution architecture, integration, and enterprise architecture. The role will involve day-to-day tasks such as designing and implementing application solutions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and providing technical guidance and support.

Description:

Responsible for determining Apptio application systems requirements, the preparation of system specifications, and the development, testing and implementation of efficient, cost effective Apptio application solutions.
Receives general direction from the Manager.
Has heavy hands-on Apptio coding /testing duties, and may have some supervisory duties in instructing, assigning, directing and checking the work of other Apptio TBMAs.
Assists in planning, organizing, and controlling Apptio system related initiatives.
May work with client management to identify and specify complex business requirements and processes for Apptio computing environments, technologies and tools.
Acts as expert Apptio technical resource to development staff in all phases of the development and implementation process.
May coordinate the activities of Apptio with the client area and other areas (e.g., data base, telecommunications, operations, technical support).
To perform this job successfully an individual must be proficient in architecting Apptio environments.
Apptio certification preferred, though not required.

A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related discipline with an advanced degree and systems analysis and program development experience with some supervisory, management and administrative experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, preferably in the securities industry or financial services industry.
Knowledge of securities industry or financial services experience.
Sound knowledge of the client area's function and systems.
In-depth knowledge of Apptio.
Broad knowledge of the system development life cycle.
Technical, hands-on knowledge of various high-level programming languages and program development software alternatives.
Effective managerial and leadership skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong problem solving, decision-making, and analytical skills.
Ability to work effectively with client and IT management and staffs. Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Rejoining lots of cost model works with Apptio person should have managed Apptio team
Apptio Certification is preferred but no required

Qualifications

Application Architecture, Software Development, and Solution Architecture skills
Experience in integration and enterprise architecture
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and remotely
Experience with Apptio or similar technologies is a plus
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
