Job Description

The scope of the proposed services will include the following:

For LWC to better serve the public, the Application Architect/Website Designer will support LWC with redesigning over 100 web pages and corresponding documents that provide a seamless and intuitive customer experience for everyone.
They will ensure that all ADA and Plain Language guidelines are followed when redesigning and rebranding the website and documents.
The Website Designer will also support the web development team in implementing tools that enhance the customer’s ability to find resources without always having to contact the agency for additional assistance.
The contracted person will ensure the website flow is seamless, intuitive, well-organized, and customer-centric. The Website
Designer will also ensure that the website is designed to allow the LWC super users to easily edit and maintain the website after the complete redesign with a built-in approval cycle to ensure the changes are appropriately vetted and approved by the appropriate staff.
The Architect will also ensure that the site is designed and spec’d out to perform at or better than industry standards and provide OTS with the required justification for the necessary infrastructure.
Finally, the Architect will assist LWC with its transition from the .net website domain to a .gov domain per industry standards and federal guidelines.

Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory:

This position requires five years of experience/expertise designing enterprise websites using
a modern web development platform and industry standards.
This position requires at least one year of experience/expertise designing end-user-friendly, well-organized, easily accessible, searchable, customer-centric, secure, and mobile friendly Web Content Management Systems.
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory:

The position should assist LWC with ensuring the website and documents meet all Federal  and State requirements. At least one example, showing how they met Federal and/or State requirements during a successful website redesign is desirable.
The position should assist LWC with ensuring the website and documents meet all the ADA
and Plain Language requirements. At least one example, showing how they met Federal
and/or State requirements during a successful website redesign is desirable.
One year of experience developing websites meeting the Plain Language requirements is
desirable.
Five years of experience developing websites that meet the ADA requirements is also
desirable.
