Application Developer

Job Duties:

• Build software using the Object-Oriented Programming components provided by Scala, Java programming languages.
• Build REST JSON based APIs in Scala using the Play framework.
• Design and develop software interacting with PostgreSQL database.
• Design and develop software to perform validations on data using pattern matching and regular expressions.
• Develop APIs necessary to optimize workflows for insurance providers working with the Federally Facilitated Marketplace.
• Develop and deploy applications using OpenShift Platform on AWS.
• Participate in various functions of the Agile methodology such as Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Acceptance, Retrospectives etc.
• Translate user stories and acceptance criteria into development tasks.
• Produce design artifacts necessary for the Software Development Life Cycle such as System Design Document (SDD), Technical Design Document (TDD), Functional Design Document (FDD) etc.

Degree Requirement: Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, information technology and sciences or a combination of education and experience equating to the U.S. equivalent of a bachelor’s degree in one of the aforementioned subjects.
