Application System Analyst Programmer

Job Description

Resource will be responsible for the activities of an Applications Systems Analyst/Programmer of Master Data Management team of State of Indiana's child welfare system, which is built on a PostgreSQL/Ruby on Rails/SQL Server/ASP .Net platform. This system is currently being rebuilt on Salesforce and MuleSoft platform . Resource will work under the direction of the Indiana Department of Child Services (DCS), Child Welfare (CW) IT Office.

Responsibilities Include

 

• Design and develop interactive and dynamic reports for business intelligence.
• Work on Integration of data from various sources into a unified system.
• Assist in design and implementation of Master Data Management solutions.
• Proactive in identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks and data quality issues.
• Adhere to SQL Development best practices.
• Meet project deadlines and requirements while working in an independent and remote role.
• Communicate progress, needs, and planning with supervisors on a weekly basis, or as requested.
• Perform other related duties as assigned. Skill Required / Desired Amount of Experience Information Technology (IT) Experience Required 6 Years Extensive Experience in Postgres SQL and SQL Server Databases and Reporting with Strong programming skills in languages like T-SQL, PL/pgSQL, or other Required 5 Years Database Systems/Database Tools (Microsoft SQL Server RDBMS Advanced and PostgreSQL Advanced) Required 4 Years ETL - SSIS or similar Required 4 Years SSRS or other reporting tools Required 4 Years Proficient in writing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and functions Required 2 Years Experience with database design, schema creation, and maintenance as well as Strong programming skills in languages like T-SQL, PL/pgSQL Required 2 Years SQL Server features such as indexing, partitioning, and security Required 2 Years Performance tuning and optimization of database queries Required 2 Years Proficient in designing, developing, and maintaining SSIS packages Required 2 Years Experience with data migration, ETL processes, and data transformation using SSIS with Knowledge of best practices for SSIS development and deployme Required 2 Years Hands-on experience in designing and creating reports using SSRS with Knowledge of best practices for SSIS development and deployment Required 2 Years identifying and resolving database-related issues and Strong debugging skills for troubleshooting code and performance problems Required 2 Years Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously, manage priorities, and meet deadlines Required 2 Years Bachelor's degree Highly desired 4 Years Knowledge of Tableau Desired 2 Years Ability to work within a team environment Desired 2 Years Strong communication skills Desired 2 Years Experience with Salesforce Data Desired 2 Years Knowledge of Child Welfare Information System Desired 2 Years
