Description

Position Description:

•         Collaborate with engineers, geoscientists, data managers, and other software developers to define, build, and deliver solutions to challenging problems in the oil and gas industry.

•         Work closely with business stakeholders to implement, deploy, and support geostatistical analysis, geoprocessing, and geocoding tools.

•         Support existing GIS solutions and data workflows.

•         Integrate disparate datasets from dozens of systems and tie them spatially.

Skills (required)

•         Bachelor’s or Master’s degree from an accredited university in Computer Science, Geographic Information Science, or related field of study.

•         At least 5 years of experience in GIS and ESRI technologies.

•         Domain knowledge of ESRI’s product platform (Desktop, Pro, ArcPy, ArcGIS Server, GeoEvent Server, AGO, Portal, ESRI Javascript API, WebApp Builder, etc.)

•         Experience in Python and SQL.

•         Knowledge of GIS/geospatial workflows (geostatistical analysis, geoprocessing, geocoding, etc.)

•         Strong communication skills and ability to work in a collaborative environment with software developers and domain experts.

•         Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.

Skills (Good to have)

•         Proficiency in one or more of the following programming languages: Python, Javascript, C#/.NET, Java

•         SQL and/or Oracle Database management (especially ArcSDE)

•         Prior work experience in the upstream oil and gas industry

•         Prior work experience with large scale data management systems

•         Experience working on teams following Agile software development methodologies

•         Experience working with surveying and remote sensing datasets (CAD, LiDAR, rasters, etc.)

•         Experience participating in the user centered design process

•         Knowledge of production systems like ProCount and Aries

Experience with analytical tools like Spotfire or Tableau
