AS400 Developer

About the job
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather and understand business requirements. 
Designing, coding, testing, and debugging AS400 applications ensuring high-quality software deliverables. 
Developing and optimizing COBOL and CL programs using DDS. 
Supporting application integration and data exchange with other systems.
Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum. 
Understanding software version control systems like ALDON, THENON, IMPLEMENTOR, TURNOVER. 
Mentor AS/400 developers in design, development, and maintenance. 
Work with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather and analyse requirements for AS/400 application development and enhancement. 
Write efficient and well-structured code to implement business logic and functionality on AS400 platform. 
Perform unit testing to ensure the quality of developed applications. 
Maintain and enhance existing AS/400 applications by troubleshooting issues, implementing bug fixes and optimizing performance. 
Develop and maintain technical documentation and user manuals. 
Review code by other developers and provide feedback. 
Propose new solutions to modify existing business process for efficient and better performance.
