AS400 Developer

Job Description:

· Mainframe Developer Application Maintenance and Support, 24/7 support environment, Primary Shift 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM EST

· Overall experience of 5-8 years working in Mainframe support and/or development.

· Awareness & hands on experience of AS400.

· Research and resolve production issues, troubleshooting of online and batch abends Support nightly production batch process

· Evaluate the daily and monthly batch process to improve performance and shorten the critical path window

· Perform Impact Analysis across multiple platforms and applications

· Deliver complete documentation for estimates, design, and development

· Help determine and capture future business requirements

· Facilitate and coordinates design sessions Systems Design and Application Development in an IBM Mainframe environment Support System Test, UAT, and project implementation Identify and assess complex problems and create solutions that require in-depth evaluation of variable factors.

· Identify the hours required to perform the required changes and perform changes in the identified/impacted system.

· Develop strategy and functionality and demonstrate possible solutions to business and IT stakeholders and provide support to develop technical solutions.

· Proficient in IBM Mainframe, COBOL, DB2, CICS, VSAM, MQ, JCL and TOMCAT. Job Track and Job Agent

· Must be experienced with all types of transmissions and encryptions from IBM mainframe like FTP, SFTP, EDI, NDM, MFT, PGP

· Experience in Visio, Stored Procedures, SQL Server, XML, Quality Centre highly desired A quick learner with ability to grasp new things at a fast pace

· Ability to work simultaneously on support and enhancement/maintenance activities with equal focus on both

· Good knowledge of release procedure Good communication skills and ability to interact with customer

· Team leadership experience in onsite-offshore model Good team player, capable of working with large geographically diverse teams
