Associate Lead Consultant - AWS

Job Description

• Implement identity and Access Management access control to Azure portal and resources
• Perform infrastructure migration (physical or virtual) to Cloud, as and when required
• Actively participate in weekly Ops and design calls, monthly and quarterly meetings with clients
• Define and provide the correct level of access to team members
• Actively work on hosting cost reduction initiatives (auto shutdown-start-up non-prod VMs during off-hour, BYOL, clean-up of unallocated disks, NIC, and old snapshots)
• Implement and troubleshoot Cloud VDI (Virtual Desktop Environment)
• Actively participate in knowledge sharing and mentoring L1 and L2 associates
• Contribute to automate repetitive tasks (like VM provision, patching, etc.)
• Create SOW for new engagements and projects

Required Technical Competencies

• Expert Knowledge of Linux and Windows
• Expert Knowledge of Amazon Web Services IaaS / PaaS 
• Working Experience in CloudFormation/Terraform (Infrastructure as Code), CDK, Elastic Beanstalk, ECS (Orchestrating Containers), OpsWorks (Automate Operations), CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, CodeCommit (Implementing CI/CD pipelines on AWS)
• Certification is mandatory to professional level for AWS.
• Working Knowledge on TCP/IP, NFS, NIS, DNS, DCE/DFS, LDAP, LPAR, SNMP, Workload balancing,  IAM & LakeFormation.
• Knowledge of shell scripting (Bash, sed, awk, etc).
• Strong CLI and API technology use experience (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Bash, YAML or JSON)
• Deep understanding of IP Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS, etc.) will be an advantage
• Familiarity with Apache, Samba, MySQL will be an added advantage
• AWS platform development and deployment concepts (Good to have Azure too along with AWS)
• Design, develop, manage and support AWS & based Solutions.
• Manage proof of concepts, exploratory projects to identify, evaluate and eventually adopt most suitable • Cloud Computing (Public & Private Clouds, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS) model.
• Core concepts of VHD, VHDX, Azure Tooling & Blob storage handling and workload migration to and from AWS, VMware etc.
• Knowledge of industry standard virtualization product (Vmware / Citrix / RHEV).
• Experience in migrating on-premise solutions/applications to Cloud
• Familiarity with Oracle, Apache, Samba, MySQL, PostgreSQL would be an added advantage.
• ITIL Process certified
• Requires excellent communications skills, both verbal and written
• Ability to be part of an On-Call Rotation and perform weekend activities as needed in a global 24×7 environment
