Automation Development Engineer

Logic Finder is looking for a C/C++/GoLang/Python Automation Engineer to become an integral part of an existing  team providing services to one of America’s largest mobile network operators.

You will work within a cross-functional, agile, high-performing team supporting the development, verification, and deployment of our client’s proprietary automated networking testing solution. The solution has been in use with limited internal customers in the pre-production environment for some time and has now been selected as our client’s standard test automation solution, so there is a significant amount of growth and opportunity.

Duties

• Participate in Sprint Planning and design discussions with the development team to ensure automation is designed and implemented meeting client’s requirements
• Develop expertise in client’s Automated Network Testing platform and become an advocate for its use
• Improve productivity for the overall team by proposing tools or processes that eliminate net workload
• Analysis of user stories and test case definitions to determine the best way in which to automate the testing
• Close collaboration with Network System Engineers to create a detailed test design using client’s Automated Network Testing platform and OEM testing tools and simulators
• Development and documentation of automation using Python
• Collaboration with Network System Engineers in QA including troubleshooting
• Resolution of any automation related defects.
• Provide post-deployment support as required

Location

The team based in Redmond, WA. While remote work may be available at times, the role does require onsite activities so candidates will need to be in the Redmond, WA area.

Job requirements

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

• Strong C/C++/GoLang/Python development skills with 3-4 years of experience.
• Hands on experience developing and maintaining automation scripts following OOP practice.
• Good working knowledge of Linux.
• Good Knowledge of LTE/5G Core Network and Call Flows.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient with Agile testing methodologies and best practices
• Working experience on designing and creating test plans and processes.

PREFERED EXPERIENCE

• Experienced in telecommunication networks
• Strong knowledge of QA methodology and tools, with demonstrated experience in test automation
• Coding experience with automated testing frameworks, tools, services, and physical devices
• Experienced in end to end application to device layer testing which includes UI, interfaces, back-end and hardware layers.
• Deal well with ambiguous/undefined problems; ability to think abstractly
