Job Description

Cloud computing is transforming IT and optimization of it is driving business processes and services into the future. The Cloud team is seeking a highly collaborative individual to join our team and help us achieve key cloud cost optimization goals. As a member of our team, you will be responsible for creating technical solutions for optimizing our AWS spend.

Role/Responsibilities

Enablement of foundational data to make informed rightsizing decisions by working with AWS SSM and CloudWatch to enable the reporting of server memory usage

Consultative and collaborative with various application owners to right size overprovisioned EC2's to capture cost savings without compromising application performance

Partner with cross-functional teams to implement governance policies from tagging standards to automated cleanup of orphaned resources

Required Skills/Experience

Working knowledge of AWS services and concepts

Project experience of using Python (boto3) to manage AWS resources

Windows & Linux OS troubleshooting

Understanding of AWS EC2's & application requirements

Strong ability to collaborate with individuals from various teams (collaboration/challenge process)
