Description:      

  • As the AWS Engineer, you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications and platform products. You will drive significant business impact and help shape the target state architecture through your capabilities in multiple architecture domains.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our cloud computing strategy
  • Ensure that the cloud infrastructure aligns with LSG’s operational needs and strategic goals concerning scalability, performance, security and cost efficiency
  • Design cloud adoption plans, cloud application design, and cloud management and monitoring
  • Monitor network costs and implement cost-saving measures where possible to optimize spending
  • Designing scalable, reliable, and secure network architectures within the AWS ecosystem
  • Collaborating with security teams to enforce network security measures and ensure compliance with internal policies
  • Automating network deployments and operations using scripting languages, such as Python, and infrastructure as code tools, such as AWS CloudFormation and Terraform
  • Regularly assessing network performance, address bottlenecks, and provide solutions for network optimization
  • Developing and maintaining disaster recovery strategies and participating in regular DR testing to ensure a rapid response to network outages and failures
  • Staying informed about AWS networking updates and service offerings, reporting back recommendations to stakeholders

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field
  • Extensive experience (5+ years) designing, implementing, and managing cloud-based solutions on platforms such as AWS and/or Azure.
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect preferred
  • Strong understanding of cloud architecture principles, including microservices, containerization, serverless computing, and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud-native development frameworks and tools, such as Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, and Ansible.
  • Proficiency in programming/scripting languages, such as Python, Java, or PowerShell.
  • In-depth knowledge of cloud security best practices, encryption methods, identity, and access management (IAM).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
  • Must be willing and able to work in a hybrid office environment, with 3 days per week in office in the North America headquarters in the Irving, Texas
