Job Description

The FinOps Engineer participates in the end-to-end lifecycle for cloud financial management which include spend, forecasting, and optimization. We are looking for a driven individual with demonstrated experience in maturing Cloud FinOps capabilities.

Job Details:

Lead cost automation and strong experience using relevant automation tools

Partner with Cloud Ops team to transform services and applications in the most cost-efficient way

Update, maintain, and modify CUDOS, CID, and TAO dashboards

Develop and deploy infrastructure changes to implement design and strategy decisions targeting cost optimization best practices

Develop and implement strategies and automation to maximize resource utilization and minimize costs

Create monitoring to help identify and resolve unexpected spending increases

Evaluate and investigate data patterns and anomalies to drive insightful knowledge that can inform strategic and operational decisions

Leverage / Develop Cost Optimization Pillar to be utilized across the organization

Work with 3rd party cloud optimization vendors on recommendations and implementations



Experience:

4+ years on AWS services/solutions3

Proven experience in Cloud Cost Management

Experience with AWS tagging benefits and limitations

Experience with FinOps, preferred with cloud and scale environments

Experience with CUDOS, CID, and TAO Dashboards

Experience with CUR

Experience with 3rd party cloud optimization tools

Experience Infrastructure as Code tools (CDK)

DevOps experience and scripting skills (e.g., Python, Bash)
