Job Summary:

As an AWS Tech Lead for LPL, based in Charlotte, NC, you will play a crucial role in spearheading the development of cloud services and platform solutions essential for hosting business-critical applications that set LPL apart in the market. This hands-on role within the Advisory organization involves crafting cloud-native services to bolster LPL's overarching cloud strategy and transition to AWS.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and contribute to the design, architecture, and development of solutions using contemporary cloud-based architecture and tools.
- Responsible for transforming legacy systems from on-premises to cloud-based solutions.
- Establish and refine best practices for common and reusable components.
- Develop scalable and resilient solutions while ensuring proper instrumentation for comprehensive observability of platforms and services.
- Engage in Scrum/Kanban delivery models to deliver sprint releases through stories/epics, utilizing Jira for tracking all development work and overall velocity.

Qualifications:

- 5+ years of experience in designing and developing with common AWS services such as EC2, S3, ECS, EKS, ELB, any RDS, Streaming (Kafka), Messaging (SQS, ActiveMQ, RabbitMQ), Caching (Redis, Ignite, Redshift, Elastic), NO-SQL, and API Gateway.
- Proficiency of 10+ years in at least one language like C# or .Net Core, with full-stack development experience.
- Extensive experience of 10+ years working with RDBMS technologies like MSSQL, Oracle, or others.
- 5+ years of experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
- 3+ years in a leadership role overseeing development teams, ensuring quality delivery, and coaching teams on best practices.

Core Competencies:

- Profound understanding of distributed/decoupled systems using messaging platforms.
- Solid experience with relational and non-relational databases.
- In-depth knowledge of AWS's Well-Architected Frameworks.
- Familiarity with modern work practices such as DevSecOps, CI/CD, Agile project delivery, and Release Engineering.
- Collaborative nature with hands-on technical leadership experience.

Preferences:

- Preferred possession of any AWS certification.
- Experience with Confluent/MSK Kafka is a plus.
- Specialization in any RDS service is preferred.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills with a strong executive presence.
- Ability to communicate technical solutions effectively across the organisation and collaborate with senior leaders to leverage technology for positive business outcomes.
