AWS-Technical Lead

 

Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management

Managing AWS Infrastructure.

Authentication and Authorisation for Kafka objects.

Monitoring platform and Kafka applications/objects.

Automating Infrastructure and deployments.

 

Security best practices

Setting up Security best practices.

Establishment of connectivity with on premises and other cloud apps.

 

Essential Criteria:

Infrastructure Management

Experience with Kafka design and development.

Experience with AWS services such as Route 53, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, DynamoDB, RDS, IAM, MSK, Kafka clients, VPC and connecting applications.

Automate AWS-MSK setup using AWS CloudFormation scripts.

Experience in Linux/Unix systems administration or windows administration.

Experience in monitoring using AWS Cloud Watch and other MSK's native options to tracking performance, auditing and trouble shooting.

Experience on automation deployments (Connectors, Kafka clients and Etc).

Strong scripting skills for automation tasks.

Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration tools (e.g., Gitlab, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).

Optimising throughput, minimizing latency, performance fine tuning.

 

Security best practices

Establishing Kafka security configurations such as SSL/TLS, encryption and Access Control Lists (ACLs).

Encryption in transit and at rest.

Setting up secure connectivity with on premises and other cloud applications (Azure Event Hub and Google PubSub).

 

Desirable Criteria:​ AWS Infrastructure knowledge on VPCs, Networks & Subnets, Security Groups,  AWS integration services (AWS-MSK, AWS-MFT, S3, AWS-RDS and App Flow).

Education

Any Graduate
