Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance data architectures using Microsoft Azure services.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
  • Develop and manage data models, ETL processes, data pipelines, and data integration solutions.
  • Optimize data storage, processing, and retrieval processes to enhance system performance and reliability.
  • Ensure data governance, security, and compliance standards are met across all data solutions.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for Azure data services and stay updated on new Azure features and updates.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Mentor and support junior team members and contribute to the overall growth of the data engineering team.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Data Architect or similar role with a strong focus on Azure data solutions.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Azure data services, including Azure SQL Database, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake, Azure Data Factory, and Azure Cosmos DB.
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes.
  • Experience with data security, privacy, and compliance standards.
  • Proficiency in SQL and experience with programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
