Job Description

Alabama Power is currently looking to build their newest data team by adding 1-3 Data Engineers. The tops needs for this engineer are Azure, data bricks, Power BI. This team currently has 4 people, and they need this person to have had around 5 years of working experience in the data space. This candidate will have the opportunity to pave their own way, and create their own workflow as it is a new position.

The day to day of this role:

There will be several projects going on simultaneously. Some days could be spent building out a dashboard or some data architecture, or ETL processes or building out something in Microsoft Azure. There will be a fair number of team meetings, project update meetings. Some time will be spent reviewing other applications that have been developed and talking through that. Around 60% of time will be around individual contributions and about 40% spent on team collaboration.
