Azure Network Architect

Provide Expert Level Architecture/Engineering efforts related to client’s Network Cloud solutions (Azure, GCP and OCI) including both the cloud, edge, and on-prem.
• Develop Architecture/Design/Automation and lead planning and deployment for Network project solutions.
• Collaborate with clients to develop and communicate new capabilities as well as develop change management plans for new solution deployments.
• Develop and Maintain technology Roadmaps.
• Design, Engineer, and Support of Network connectivity from/to XaaS solutions.
• Provide direction and guidance to operational support teams (Tier 3, Tier 4) for network cloud technologies.
• Engage and collaborate with business partners to interpret business requirements and deliver solutions in coordination with security architects.
• Lead architecture in re-defining and modernizing the Network Architecture practice. This includes championing best architecture practices and modernization of architecture in the cloud and edge.
• Lead architecture in upgrading and maturing Network systems. This role is a key owner and an active participant for design and impact analysis.
• Lead architecture in the maturing the process alignment internal and external partners such as other portfolios, Infosec, Enterprise Architecture and vendor partners.
• Collaborate with the architecture community on architectural topics for communicating and publishing out to the broader Tech & Engineering teams. This includes different forums, newsletters, EA sites/repositories/artifacts.
• Participate in or lead key technology strategies in the architect role.
• Champion approved architecture strategies that align solution designs to the target enterprise architecture.
• Stay current with retail industry and technology industry trends and emerging architectures.
• Understanding of Equinix (Network Edge and Fabric connect) offering.
• Hands on experience with Router, switches, firewall and Cloud native solutions.
• Recommend and influence new and improved architecture best practices and processes.

Required Qualifications:

• 4-year degree (Computer Science, Information Systems, or relational functional field) CCIE and/or equivalent combination of education or work experience. Advanced degree preferred.
• 10+ years acting as a lead engineer or principle in infrastructure/network environments performing network planning, architecture design, engineering (hardware and software) and optimization.
• 15+ years of engineering and deployment experience network technology.
• Cloud networking and design experience is necessary
• Expert knowledge of network hardware and software, network infrastructure and design, topologies, and protocols (OSPF and BGP).
• Expert knowledge of MPLS VPN architecture.
• Expert knowledge of routing/switching/SDN technology, cloud network services
• In-depth experience in the design of large-scale Cloud-Native and Multi-Cloud Networks
• In-depth experience with selection, design, implementation and support of enterprise network systems and diagnostic tools.
• In-depth knowledge of Palo Alto and Cloud Native firewalls.
• In-depth experience of Juniper MIST, routing and switching.
• Extensive experience with Cisco network technologies such as Nexus switching fabric with spine/leaf topologies, DMVPN and emerging IWAN, and ASR 1K and 9K routing platforms is required.
• Strong background with IP telephony and video, quality of service planning, and the unique security requirements associated with these traffic types.
• Strong understanding of Wireless, VOIP and security technologies.
• Strong analytical ability, judgment, and problem analysis techniques
• Excellent organizational, project management and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
• Strong ability to understand client expectations and to resolve issues that may affect delivery.
