MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's or Associate's degree and at least 3 to 5 years of experience related to the position's essential functions. Any equivalent education and/or work experience may be substituted to meet the position's minimum qualifications.
Quality Tester Analyst work involves ensuring software functionality, reliability, and performance through systematic testing.
Identifying and reporting defects, creating/tracking bug resolution, creating test plans, and collaborating within development teams to deliver high-quality software products

Knowledge and Abilities:
Knowledge:
A strong understanding of software testing principles, testing methodologies, and proficiency in testing tools.
Knowledge of programming languages
An analytical mindset is also a valuable trait.
Keeping up with industry trends and continuous learning is essential in this dynamic field.
Customer service techniques and best practices.
Basic business practice processes and procedures.
Formats used in written business communications.
English grammar, spelling, and composition are needed for correspondence and meeting planning.
Established policies, procedures, and practices of the Nebraska Department of Education.
Office management principles, methods, and procedures.

Abilities:
Testing Expertise: Proficiency in various testing methodologies, such as functional, regression, and performance testing.
Test Automation: Knowledge of automated testing tools and the ability to create and execute automated test scripts.
Programming Skills: Familiarity with programming languages, especially scripting languages like Python or Java, to enhance automation efforts.
Analytical Skills: Ability to analyse software requirements, identify test scenarios, and design effective test cases.
Attention to Detail: Thoroughly identified and documented software defects, ensuring comprehensive test coverage
Communication Skills: Clear communication to collaborate with development teams, report issues, and document test results.
Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and propose effective solutions.
Adaptability: Flexibility to work with evolving software development processes and technologies
Documentation: Proficient in creating and maintaining test documentation, including test plans and test cases.
