BI Reporting Analyst

Job Summary:
We're seeking a talented Business Data Analyst to join our team, focusing on leveraging statistical analysis, explanatory and predictive modeling, and data mining to enhance our business operations. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to define analytical requirements and transform these into actionable insights, aiding in optimizing current business processes. This role involves occasional mentorship of junior data analysts and contributing to the development or enhancement of systems to better capture operational data.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform in-depth business analysis using statistical analysis, data mining, and modeling techniques.
• Develop best practices and actionable insights for improvement of current business operations.
• Collaborate directly with clients to understand and implement analytical requirements.
• Generate ad hoc reports and data as needed to support business decisions.
• Assist in the development or enhancement of systems to capture business operation information accurately.

Must-Have Skills:

• Profound knowledge of SQL and relational databases.
• Experienced in using BI tools such as Tableau.
• Strong analytical capabilities and comfort with Excel.

Domain Experience:
Previous experience in a business analysis role, preferably within the tech industry, is advantageous for this position. Knowledge and experience in managing data-related projects and guiding less experienced analysts are highly valued. This is a hybrid position requiring the candidate to be local to MTV.
