Big Data Architect

Project Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Big Data Architect to join Ascendion, working with our esteemed healthcare client. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing robust data architectures that support large-scale data processing and analytics. Your expertise will drive the development of innovative solutions to enhance data management, integration, and insights within the healthcare sector

Responsibilities:

Responsible for overseeing the deployment of architectural aspects across hardware, software, security, messaging, workflow, interoperability, flexibility, reliability, scalability, and architectural structure within the organization, in alignment with Enterprise Architect(s) guidance

Implement architecture practices, collaborate with application and technology project teams to develop and deploy architectural designs, and assess enterprise implications. Define and implement architectural principles, patterns, guidelines, and standards

Facilitate communication, identify impacts, and resolve conflicts with application teams, business units, and other architects. A bridge between current and future architecture states as defined. Serve as a specialized knowledge resource in infrastructure, process, or data, or function as a solution architect

Required Qualification:

Expertise in big data technologies and frameworks (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, Databricks)

3+ years of Architecture experience

Proficiency in cloud platforms like Azure and their data services

Strong experience with SQL Server, big data analytics, and data integration

Solid understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in a healthcare context

Competency in Unix scripting and programming languages such as Java and Oracle
