Big Data Developer

PROJECT DESCRIPTION:

This data-driven initiative supports group risk reporting and other Use Cases by implementing new or improving existing data pipelines. Data requirements cover re-modeling and aggregating defined data input into a common company’s format. Developer hired for this position will be working on on upstream source integrations, efficient data transformation as well as analytics pipelines to extend and improve reliable reporting foundation. The initiative builds on common big data platform(s) and tools.

REQUIREMENTS:

Experience in Scala or Java/Spark.
Hadoop stack: YARN, MR, Sqoop, Hive.
Kafka.
Impala.
Hands-on development experience with Jenkins or Bamboo, JIRA, Bitbucket and Git/Stash,

NICE TO HAVE:

Experience in implementing data security capabilities such as encryption and anonymization.
Excellent communication skills and experience of distributed global teams.
Data-driven thinking capabilities.
Experience in using Agile methods.
A solid grounding in Financial Service.
