Job Description

Looking for a Software Engineer with strong analytical skills to help build and enhance our Big data application. This individual's day-to-day work will involve using Java, Scala, SQL, Big Data, Linux, git, and maven/gradle to design and build software solutions that are fast, scalable, and flexible.

Required Skills/Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science
Advanced and demonstrable analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
Professional programming experience in an enterprise setting
High volume transactional environment experience
6+ years of software development experience as a Java developer
6+ years of software development experience as a Spark/Scala developer
Extensive experience in designing and implementing large scale distributed data intensive platforms with high resiliency, availability, and reliability.

Desired Skills

NoSQL databases such as MapR DB, HBase, Cassandra
Big Data Components/Frameworks such as Hadoop (MapR), Spark, Yarn
Big Data querying tools such Hive
Experience in Big Query and Cloud computing.
