Location: Charlotte, NC, Dallas, TX, or New Jersey (Hybrid - 3 days in-office, 2 days remote)

Candidate Preference: Local candidates or those willing to relocate to one of the specified locations

Duration: 24+ Months Contract

Work Authorization: W2 only

Must-Have Skills & Experience

7+ years of relevant experience in data engineering or a related field.
SQL: Strong proficiency in SQL, with 5+ years of experience writing advanced queries.
Unix: Solid Unix scripting skills and a good understanding of the Unix environment.
Hadoop: Extensive experience with Hadoop ecosystem and related technologies (4-6 years).
Data Pipelines & ETL: Hands-on experience in designing, building, and maintaining data pipelines and ETL processes.

Nice-to-Have Skills

MS SQL Server: 2-4 years of experience with MS SQL Server.
Risk Project Experience: Prior experience working on a risk-related project.
Cloud: Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, etc.)
Big Data Tools: Experience with various Big Data tools and technologies.

Responsibilities

Development: Develop and implement data solutions based on received business requirements.
Data Platform Support: Support and maintain the data platform, ensuring its stability and performance.
Tenant Onboarding & Support: Assist in onboarding new tenants to the data platform and provide ongoing support to existing tenants.
Data Analysis & Querying: Run SQL queries to understand data structures and fulfill data requests from business users.
Data Lifecycle Management: Understand and manage the data lifecycle, including data flow, transformation, and ETL processes.

Additional Information

The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modeling, and ETL best practices.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential.
Experience working in an Agile environment is a plus.
