Description

Responsibilities:

 

Reports to the Data Center BIM Program Manager to establish in-house applications, utilities, and scripts to support the design and delivery of the Global Data Center portfolio. Responsible for creating detailed proof of concept automation and applications to be used by internal and external stakeholders to perform quality control on BIM models and drawings. Should be familiar with methods of automation including but not limited to Dynamo, Grasshopper, Python, C#, or JavaScript.
Develop Dynamo and Python scripts that will be used by internal as well as external project stakeholders to perform QC on BIM models and drawings based on the owner’s SOW, OPR, and BIM Standards, and to rectify the issues automatically—during the middle of the projects, at the project closeout and after project completion.
Programming automation related to designing of CSA (Civil, Structural, and Architectural), MEPF (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Fire Protection), and various low voltage/control disciplines.
Automate repetitive and procedural tasks to improve project efficiency.
Understanding the Electrical and mechanical design intents to come up with the most appropriate automation solutions quickly to aid design when necessary.
Build automation applications, plugins, and scripts for architectural and construction documents and BIM models.
Work with internal engineers, RE&D PMs, and external teams to complete Data Center delivery via automation support.
Create engineering and construction-specific software programming including databases, cloud-based solutions, laser scanning, generative design, and reality capture equipment as the project requires.
Assist in identifying new software technologies, alternative systems, and/or design software to enhance data center design capabilities.
