Position: Consultant - Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment (BEAD) Program

Duration: 10 Months plus 3 years renewal

Place of Performance: Tallahassee, FL

Education:

A bachelor's degree in Geography, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field is preferred.

Required Qualifications:

Candidate must have extensive knowledge of the Broadband industry with a minimum of 5+ years of experience, specifically working with programs funded by Federal Broadband Granting Agencies (FBGA).

Candidate must have a proficient knowledge level of the ArcGIS Online platform. In addition, the candidate should have experience interacting with ArcGIS Online mapping methods (e.g., Experience Apps & Dashboards).

In-depth knowledge of the (Broadband Equity, Access, and Deployment) BEAD Challenge Process, with practical experience applying this knowledge in relevant projects.

Strong understanding of broadband technologies, network infrastructure, and deployment strategies.

Experience in project management, particularly in large-scale broadband initiatives.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a results-oriented approach.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong reporting skills with the ability to produce comprehensive project reports.

Thorough understanding of the end-to-end project life cycle, including planning, execution, and closure.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with other geographic information systems (GIS) and related software.

Previous experience working with federal or state government agencies on broadband initiatives.

Familiarity with federal and state broadband grant programs and reporting requirements.

Certification in project management or GIS-related fields.
