·Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline (electrical/electronic/ computer engineering, computer science) 

·Minimum 7 years of relevant work experience (or equivalent) with telecommunications products and Broadband technologies.

·System & Functional Testing CPE devices such as home router/gateways.

·Knowledge of Wi-Fi 6, and 6E including wireless encryption (WPA2/WPA3, WPA, WEP), WPS, DFS, and WMM

·Knowledge of DOCSIS and fiber specifications, protocols, test procedures, and debugging
Experience in Unix/Linux environments, and networking protocols.

·Advanced knowledge of Video Networking, IP and DOCSIS 3.0, 3.1 & 4.0 

·Experience activating/maintaining CPE per the DOCSIS, PacketCable, and SNMP specifications.

·Advanced knowledge of RF and IP technologies, HFC design, optical test equipment like Spectrum Analyzer

·Knowledge of troubleshooting tools like tcpdump, netstat, traceroute & snoop

·Good understanding of LAN/WAN topology, network protocols TCP/IP, FTP, NFS, switches and firewalls

·Knowledge of development tools, application frameworks, and testing tools.

·Knowledge of the Python programming language, network related modules and programming (HTTP, socket, ping, SNMP, etc.), database integration, Python web frameworks, RESTful API.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

·Creating Test plan & Test strategy for latest releases to the customer with different platforms for STB, cable modem and Gateway product 

·Setup and execution of Smoke, Sanity, Regression, overnight Recording Reliability Testing, overnight soak via automated 

·scripts to ensure no feature breakage introduced in the Build process.

·Creates work effort estimates for new features and bug fixes for use in prioritization and release management.

·Identify the test environments required and simulate the same using lab setup.

·Root cause analysis for defects found during new release versions.  

·Identify lab environment, setup or script issues & fixing them as and when it occurs. 

·Developing and maintaining documentation for support issues and producing reports as and when required 

·Defect and Test status updates to stakeholders & team on a daily basis.

·Attend meetings with customers to understand the use cases impacted by the defect and identify possible slippage in test coverage.

·Provides 'on call' support to resolve CPE activation, provisioning, and operations platform issues

·Communicating with offshore team for defect observation & latest release activities
