  • The manufacturing operations business analyst provides data analytics and reporting to manufacturing operations on new product introduction, production, overhaul, and repair programs.

     

Responsibilities

 

  • Provides business analytics and reporting to functional areas or projects/programs.
  • Perform quantitative analyses and reports that provide operational and/or technical support for customer proposals.
  • Identifies and develops metrics by working with users and stakeholders to understand data visualization and reporting requirements.
  • Translates business results into meaningful metrics and recommendations aimed at improving performance.
  • Analyzes manufacturing processes and problems to formulate and develop recommendations to meet customer and/or internal project requirements.
  • Works under moderate supervision to set objectives for own job area.
  • Communicates with contacts inside and outside own team to explain and interpret operational processes, practices, and procedures.
  • Identifies and addresses changes within own job area.
  • Works to achieve operational targets with some impact on departmental results.

     

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor in Industrial or Mechanical Engineering, Business, Computer Science, Data Analytics or combination of education and experience within manufacturing operations and/or continuous improvement activities, particularly of high mix - low volume production.
  • Experience with data analysis, and SQL queries.
  • Must have 3-5 years of Experience in PowerBI, MS Excel.
  • In-depth competency with data visualization and analytics tools (MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, SharePoint, Power Apps, PowerBI / Tableau) is preferred.
