The Data Analytics job family collects, cleans, analyzes, and visualizes data to identify trends and provide stakeholders with valuable information that can be used to help improve decision making.
The Associate Data Analyst independently collects, cleans, and maintains data in addition to supporting basic to moderately complex analytical reports and analysis. The individual responds to and disseminates information to key constituents throughout the department.
The level of work required is considered entry level and staff must be able to work under close to general supervision. This position does not have any direct reports.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Supports the development of project plans, timelines and milestones for projects of basic complexity
• Supports automation of data from singular data sets or domains with basic complexity
• Collects, cleans and maintains quantitative and qualitative data from sources with basic to moderate complexity
• Supports control efforts such as data integrity and adherence to requirements and guidance
• Supports design and development of tools, metrics and dashboards for insight and data visualization
• Prepares and presents both orally and in written form, findings and assessments concerning less complex matters to internal stakeholders
• Develops working relationships within the team and department
• Works with senior staff to evaluate the efficiency of business and reporting processes, procedures, programs and requirements
Quals--
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor`s Degree or equivalent experience.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
• Possesses the ability to understand business and supervisory processes
• Demonstrates basic coding and programming skills
• Demonstrates basic analytical and problem-solving skills
• Demonstrates critical thinking and decision-making capabilities as well as have solid written and oral communication abilities
• Possesses the ability to seek and accept coaching and constructive feedback
• Possesses solid teamwork skills and the ability to build and work collaboratively within and across work teams
• Demonstrates the ability to manage time and projects effectively by adjusting quickly to new and different priorities
• Demonstrates aptitude to leverage relevant technology and software applications
• Possesses general business acumen.
