Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst to join our Insurance IT/Operations team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, solid organization mindset and an understanding of insurance operations processes. The Business Analyst will report to the Director of UW/IT Operations and will collaborate closely with stakeholders, serving as the bridge between technology and services providers, IT and business departments.

Key Responsibilities:

Coordinate, evaluate and document UAT testing results.

Will be called upon to design a UAT framework for business units, developing  business test cases for  proposed changes and enhancements.

Perform Smoke testing prior to engaging Business Units support.

Work closely with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.

Collaborate with IT teams to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

Provide training and support to end-users on new processes and systems.

Coordinate with analysis and development of insurance operations processes and workflows.

Management of issues and change requests.

Support business intelligence (BI) activities, especially analytics and solutions that enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Support internal and external customer service.

Concentration in one of the following areas:

Underwriting System Support:

  • PAS support, including new product implementation, maintenance
  • SDLC, project management

Data Analysis and Integration:

  • Competent in data analysis and presentation using a variety of software platforms, including Power BISQL, and Excel.
  • Integrate and maintain data from primary and secondary sources into the data warehouse.
  • EKS is a must.

 

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree preferred, or years of relevant business experience.

Proven experience as a Business Analyst in the insurance industry.

Strong understanding of insurance operations processes (claims, underwriting, policy administration).

Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.

Familiarity with insurance software systems and technologies.

Self-starter, ability to work with minimal supervision.

Great communicator comfortable working in a dynamic team environment.
