Job: Business Analyst 3

Location: Lansing MI (HYBRID)

Duration: 1 year with possible extension.

 

Hybrid: Candidates MUST be local or relocate at their own expense from acceptance with no delays. Will need to be onsite starting day 1 for hybrid work schedule. NO REMOTE ONLY OPTION.

Top Skills & Years of Experience:

- Exposure to Complex IT web Applications, within the past 5 years (3+ years)

- Experience in a role, as a business analyst, supporting a software development project, in the past 5 years (5+ years)

- Experience leading meeting and making oral and written reports and presentations on work assignments (5+ years)

- Knowledge of System Security Standards, such as NIST, FedRAMP or SOC2 - Highly desired.

Business Analyst Level 3 Position Description

Requisition: Business Analyst

Seeking a Business Analyst to assist in the completion of the Michigan Department of Education’s (MDE)

project and compliance related documentation. This documentation includes but is not limited to:

System Security Plans (SSP)

Collaboration with the business clients, internal staff, and IT liaisons to analyze and complete the

security controls. As well as the creation of supporting security and project related documents to

support these controls and plans.

Disaster Recovery Plans and Business Continuity Plans

The building, testing and validation of IT Disaster Recovery Plans and Business Continuity Plans.

SUITE

The creation and maintenance of SUITE documentation that supports the system development life cycle of projects.

 

Hybrid work schedule:

Candidates will be in the office 2 days a week (Tuesday and Wednesday) and work remotely 3 days a

week.

 

Desired Interview Dates/Times:

  • August 31st: 8:30 – 9:30, 9:45 – 10:45, 11:00 – 12:00, 1:00 – 2:00, 2:15 – 3:15
  • Desired Start Date: September 18th; start date is flexible.

  1. Experience in a role, as a business analyst, supporting a software development project, in the past 5 years
  2. Experience leading meeting and making oral and written reports and presentations on work assignments
  3. Experience in a professional office environment
  4. Experience with MS Office to create project documentation
  5. Experience working as a liaison between different business and IT areas
  6. Knowledge and understanding of the Software
  7. Development Lifecycle
