Business Analyst     
Job Duties:

Gather business requirements, analyze and document business and system requirements in Insurance domain. Effectively analyze customer requirements. Develop functional specifications, business and technical use cases,business process workflows and user readiness. Work closely with the development team during design and development phases identifying functional and process gaps where required. Recommend and implement solutions to Gaps. Perform GAP Analysis, Impact Analysis, SWOT Analysis, Cost Benefit Analysis and Risk Analysis. Write detailed Business Proposals. Provide high-level estimates on time-lines and budgets. Contribute to QA function in test design and execution phases. Provide direct support to Senior Management in decision support and business development initiatives. Identify business risks, issues and emerging market opportunities. Use professional experience and techniques to obtain clear and unambiguous functional specifications and organize them thoroughly to eliminate further interpretation. Facilitate discussions to obtain approval on specifications from all stakeholders. Represent the client's business objectives, technical need, limitations, priorities, risks, etc. Understand and communicate both business and technical objectives from multiple perspectives including client view, internal development view, and operational and support view. Seek out clarification and examples when necessary. Create precise high-quality documentation of prioritized functional specifications that can directly be converted into test plans, system conceptual designs, hardware specs etc., to meet performance targets and development project plans. Develop and map current and future states, design a workflow for the new target model, review impact of changes with stakeholders. Exercise judgment in selecting the appropriate methods, techniques and tools to meet objectives. Generate solution alternatives and analyze the cost/benefit ratio of each alternative. Document/analyze process and data models; map out a workflow for system and data migration; and work to help analyze client data during the transfer from one system to another. Balance multiple high-profile projects simultaneously, working and achieving success under tight deadlines. Work with multiple project teams simultaneously, responding to changing priorities and expectations dynamically. Participate in quality assurance test planning, technical publications development, system design sessions, implementation planning and other phases of software development lifecycle. Create end-user documentation for systems. Provide training to users in small and large groups on system and related requirements. Constantly pursue and improve technical and business knowledge. Work with business team in defining business strategy, and create comprehensive business plans based on secondary information and client requirements. Work in Clear Quest, Requisite Pro, Babok, ITL, Scurm, Web Accessibility, IBM FileNet, Maximo, BPMN, Balsamis Mock-up tool. Will work in Glastonbury, CT and/or various client sites throughout the U.S. Must be willing to travel and/or relocate.
