Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Business Analyst with a strong background in claims processing, particularly within the Homeowners insurance domain. The ideal candidate will have experience with Guidewire ClaimsCenter. We are also open to candidates with claims experience using other platforms like DuckCreek or Majesco. If you have a track record of success in analyzing and optimizing insurance claims processes, this role offers a pathway to a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze, document, and manage business requirements for claims processing, specifically within the Homeowners insurance line.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including product owners, developers, and QA teams, to gather requirements and ensure a thorough understanding of business needs.
- Assist in the configuration and enhancement of Guidewire ClaimsCenter or similar claims management systems.
- Develop process flows, user stories, and business requirements documentation.
- Work closely with IT and business teams to ensure the successful implementation of claims solutions, providing recommendations for process improvements.
- Conduct gap analysis and impact assessments to identify areas for optimization in the claims process.
- Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions.
Qualifications:
- Must-Have: Experience as a Business Analyst with a focus on claims processes, preferably within Homeowners insurance.
- Preferred: Hands-on experience with Guidewire ClaimsCenter in the Homeowners insurance domain.
- Alternative Considerations:
- Experience as a Business Analyst in claims processing using other platforms (e.g., DuckCreek, Majesco).
- Experience in Guidewire ClaimsCenter but within other insurance domains (e.g., Auto, General Liability).
- Strong understanding of claims lifecycle, insurance operations, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams.
- Strong proficiency in using Jira, Confluence, and other project management tools.
- Proven ability to document business processes, create user stories, and perform user acceptance testing (UAT).
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, or related field.
