Business Intelligence Engineer 3

What’s the Job?

In this role you will work with Software Engineers and Program Managers to build data stores and data pipelines using C# and Azure Data Explorer (Kusto) and build reports in PowerBI. You will maintain the telemetry data infrastructure, implement, and monitor data alerts, and do data-driven investigations/analysis. You will also maintain and update telemetry libraries and instrumentation code in various services and applications.
It’s expected that you have good communication skills to get requirements and feedback from stakeholders, and be able to work autonomously.

Requirements
5+ years of software development experience in the following-

Required
• ASP.NET and .NET core application development in C# (or equivalent in another language).
• Git-based development (branches, pull requests and merges).
• Azure Data Explorer (Kusto) queries and commands.
• Working in a team environment building and/or maintaining online services.
Preferred
• Building dashboards to visualize data with PowerBI (or equivalent in another reporting technology).
• Instrumentation & Telemetry of software products and services.
• Azure Data Factory and Azure Data Lake (or Cosmos) pipelines.
• Maintaining data infrastructure and managing accompanying requirements for privacy and security.
• Experience with internal Microsoft telemetry systems like Cosmos, Asimov, Aria, Geneva etc. is a plus.

Has previously worked with Microsoft.
