Job Purpose:

This is a Business Technical Analyst role in a fast-paced technology delivery organization supporting AML Monitoring. The position involves working closely with technology and business teams to provide business and functional requirement documentation, data analysis, and developing AML monitoring solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Interact with the business to understand IT requirements based on business specifications.
  • Work closely with change managers, project managers, architects, and developers to translate business requirements into functional requirements.
  • Document and maintain use cases, functional designs, system specifications, and requirement traceability matrices.
  • Design functional test cases and execute them on behalf of the business user.
  • Perform data analysis on incoming and processed data to provide insights into data flow.
  • Work with Data Architects to align data storage and transformation as per standard.
  • Identify data and process gaps and provide control mechanisms.
  • Collaborate with business to define the functional and technical implementation of AML typologies.
  • Support development, QC, and UAT teams on various projects.
  • Continually seek ways to improve business processes.

Job Background & Context:

  • 4 to 6 years of IT experience.
  • Strong experience in writing queries in traditional databases (SQL) as well as Big Data platforms (Hive, PySpark).
  • Experience working on AML domain projects, including involvement in data modeling activities.
  • Prior experience in building solutions and reusable components on Big Data platforms.

Required Skills:

  • Advanced SQL and Data Analysis skills.
  • Proficiency in Hive and PySpark for Big Data solutions.
  • Expertise in documenting business and functional requirements.
  • Experience with AML monitoring solutions and data mapping.
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams (users, developers, architects).
