CAD Drafter

Description: El Segundo set shop is looking for a full-time Entry Level CAD Drafter. Vectorworks experience necessary. Adobe Suite knowledge and Photoshop and Illustrator proficient. Tradeshow and/or set design or engineering experience a plus. Primary duties for the position include creating 2D/3D shop drawings, patterns, templates of props and scenery for trade show booths, toy displays, television commercials and photo shoots. Design preliminary drawings, convert sketches to renderings, and develop written and verbal information into CAD details and assembly drawings. These CAD drawings support fabrication efforts in our wood, metal and model shops in a fast-paced environment. These are for Mattel photo shoots with miniature dolls. It is to build out sets. If you have experience with shadowing and not just lines, that is a plus!
This position requires the following qualifications/proficiencies:
 

• Vectorworks-MUST have

• Demonstrated CAD drafting skills
• Basic design and layout skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Creative Suite, with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop
• Strong written and verbal skills
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Open to learning new design software
