Overview of Role

 

  • Provides subject matter expertise for the change management necessitated by the OIT CTO organizational transformation initiative:
  • Coordinates with OIT and the CTO Transformation Program Manager and Product Owners to evaluate and prioritize change management support.
  • Develops and delivers a change management plan that is aligned to the overall CTO Transformation Program Communication Plan.
  • Works with the technical writer and other stakeholders to quantify the changes and other aspects of the various work streams within the Transformation Program that impact OIT CTO staff, OIT enterprise functions, state agency service delivery, and other stakeholders.
  • Creates clear, concise, and comprehensive guidance documents based on a change management framework, such as Prosci’s ADKAR methodology.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • The job duties include developing an Organizational Change Management Plan (OCM Plan)for the OIT CTO Transformation Program with tailored  plans for projects and teams/individuals as needed.  The expectation is that the plans will be based on a best practice change management methodology such as Prosci ADKAR  model plan shown below:
  • The new OCM plan and framework will be the basis upon which we will build stakeholder support for updated CTO process and create opportunities for staff to ask questions and seek help when needed. The OCM Plan will include an overview of the CTO projects we will be supporting under the CTO Transformation Program, descriptions of impacted stakeholders, and strategies for engaging with them to build advocacy for change.
  • Activities in the Awareness and Desire Stages of Change Management
  • Work with the CTO Transformation Team to prepare the documents and communication strategy necessary to identify and address any gaps for the awareness and desire stages.
  • Assist with preparing communications utilizing available delivery methods including, email, web site, WIKI, webinar presentations, video, etc.
  • Follow the OIT Style Guide which establishes a set of brand and writing standards for OIT employees and contractors. This guide includes information about OIT and state branding, terminology, common grammar errors and more to help us all communicate consistently and effectively with our agency customers, the general public or within OIT
