Description

The desired candidate will act as a technical subject matter expert on design, development, implementation & deployment of OIT's key desktop and server environments (Primarily Windows Based); The candidate will participate in information systems design, architecture & engineering of server virtualization, storage and desktop environments including disaster recovery. They will design, independently analyze, and resolves complex problems involving various high profile agency initiatives & technical programs (e.g., Virtual Server, Virtual Desktop).

Skills

Candidates will have 10 years' overall experience in Citrix and must have 5 years of recent experience working with the Citrix Workspace as a Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) Architecture including design, configuration, virtualized application delivery, and maintaining virtualized environments. Candidate should also have experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and architecting Citrix in AWS. They will be expected to make recommendations to Leadership on issues involving load balancing, Storage Area Network (SAN), clustering & high availability configurations. They will coordinate activities with other ODNR IT staff as a consultant and provide technical expertise, integration, and coordination for all facets of ODNR computer systems

Overall experience in Citrix--10 Years

Recent experience working with the Citrix Workspace as a Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) Architecture including design, configuration, virtualized application delivery, and maintaining virtualized environment-- 5 Years

Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS) and architecting Citrix in AWS --3 Years

Minimum Qualifications

Citrix Workspace Architecture including design, configuration, virtualized application delivery, and maintaining virtualized environments. The candidate must have experience in the following duties:

Administers, Monitors, Maintains, updates Citrix DaaS & all Citrix VDA's associated with Citrix environment.

Assists with Desktop & Application implementations, upgrades, system testing, problem resolution, and performance monitoring. (MS Office & other desktop applications.)

Assists in providing recommendations, improvements and ways to continually advance the user experience.

Assists in Monitoring, troubleshooting, resolving user Incidents - Assures quality customer service to all customers.

Assists in development of documentation (Admin & End User) for implementation and utilization of Citrix environment.

Assists in Administering, securing & deploying thin client technology (e.g. IGEL) in order to consume Citrix Daas Services.

Performs knowledge transfer and training as required
