What You Will Be Doing

Handling non-litigated general liability claims.
Entering incident reports in LIO system upon receipt of claim forms.
Obtaining statements from involved parties.
Making timely requests for investigative documentation.
Reviewing policy forms, endorsements, deductibles, and timely entering internal claim notes supporting coverage confirmation or supporting coverage declination.
Responding professionally and timely to all emails and phone messages, consistently providing exceptional customer service.
Tracking time frames and setting diaries as instructed by statute and regulation and/or as expected by policyholders or LIO’s internal SOPs.
Maintaining knowledge and understanding of state and federal laws and regulations affecting insurance practices and claims management, including but not limited to HIPAA and Medicare notification requirements.
Obtaining and maintaining necessary adjuster’s licenses.
Performing other duties as assigned.

Experience You Will Need

High School Diploma and relevant work experience.
Experience in handling general liability claims.
Demonstrated ability to successfully collaborate at any level individually and within a team.
Ability to work in a virtual environment in a global organization and to effectively prioritize and execute tasks.
Excellent communication skills.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong respect for confidentiality.
Superior customer service skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Ability to multi-task and work effectively in a small team, very entrepreneurial environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Bachelor’s Degree is preferred.
At least 3 years experience handling general liability claims is preferred.
