Cloud Architect

Austin, TX (Remote within Texas)

6 months Contract with possibility to extension

Candidate must have:

• Well-developed oral and written communications skills;
• Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills;
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and with others;
• High level of creativity and innovation in problem-solving;
• Extremely high level of analytical ability where problems are very unusual and extremely difficult;
• Understanding of bench marking processes and techniques;
• Ability to effectively manage changes to the production environment and technology-based assets of the project (i.e., applications software, production databases, operating systems hardware and software, etc.).

Minimum Requirements:

• 5-years’ experience
• Ensures implementation of hardware and software meets the DCS and HHS (DSHS) Public Cloud technology infrastructure design and architecture;
• Defines requirements for products that support applications and the infrastructure consistent with HHS and DCS provided Public Cloud guidelines;
• Manages the process to ensure product release, applications, and corporate block point cycles are synchronized;
• Provides an interface for strategy and direction with Public Could technology providers;
• Evaluates Public Cloud emerging technologies and standards for impact on Customer and DCS;
• Plans and executes Public Cloud software and hardware platform changes with minimal disruption in service to the Customer;
• Defines performance metrics and measurement tools;
• Manages Public Cloud network management architecture activities;
• Performs Public Cloud technology bench marking; and follows Public Cloud HHS and DCS level guideline documentation and provides input on their upkeep.
